Yes....we're going to find a way to lose this one after all. I knew they'd pull through.

Losing is what this team does best. After all, they have a reputation to uphold.

seriously?

Um....

You ARE aware of this team's history, right? Do you need a refresher?

By this team you mean the team that is 16 games over .500? Yeah, I do need a refresher, since when is losing "what they do best"?

And what reputation? I'm so sick and tired of the "this is the cubs" woe is me crap. It's a slump, they'll get out of it, calm down.

Last year....

Do I need to go on? Are you honestly telling me the Cubs don't have a reputation for losing?

One half-season does NOT even begin to erase 100 years of failure.

Wow, that just looked awkward and ugly. Thank goodness Aramis looks to be not hurt.

That's how to eff up a runner at third and 1 out and a runner at second and 2 outs.

When did you start following the Cubs?

Once again. THIS team refers to 2008 no?

No, it refers to the Cubs franchise.

Wow, the Dbacks are stupid. They took advantage of some aggressive baserunning, which is good, but they really took it too far. They've already made 2 outs on the basepaths on a pickoff and agressive run home, and they were picked off another time earlier in the game but didn't get caught.

Hey look, if you throw him a curveball, he doesn't crush doubles.

JoBu could not help him hit the curve ball.

2004 and some other years belong in there too.

They've caught Cub-itis.

It's been known to be fatal to a season.

And now they botch a rundown.

What?

You do realize a rundown has taken way too long when the batter makes it to 2nd, right?

When it's soto and ramirez and a runner with decent speed, your odds of getting that right aren't very good

Well when in a game thread of all places, I would expect "this" team to refer to the 2008 team. I think we all know about their past failures.

Rundowns should really only take two throws if it's done right.

This year's team's history of a winning record(and best record in the NL)? Or Lou's team's histories of winning records? Or something stupid like the franchise's history...of winning records?
