Webb and Lincecum will both be unavailable to pitch in the ASG. This could definitely explain things. I think this just might be true.

Maybe Z is a bigger name and they want the big name to start. But the start should go to Volquez.

Maybe they don't want a rookie catcher and rookie pitcher as starters. Also if the NL wants to win they likely need a good start and having a pitcher and catcher from the same team play the same innings would be a good idea.

True or not, I saw it myself. Z is on one of my Yahoo fantasy teams, so that note was on my team page. I did question it, though, because pitchers aren't elected to start. Some are elected to the team by players, but the manager decides who to start.

No they won't. As pointed out in another thread, a pitcher could pitch an inning in the All-Star Game despite starting Sunday because that would be his normal day for throwing between starts anyway.

Think Zambrano will get pissed off when they lift him after one or two innings?

I think he will be pissed if he is also not listed as the DH
