Honest question: Why did Edmonds choose the Cubs? For league minimum, I'm sure there were a bunch of teams interested in him.

 

He said that he wanted to join the Cubs even in the winter, but that he was pretty sure the Cardinals wouldn't trade him to the Cubs. I think he really liked the atmosphere and that's why he wanted to come here.

 

He also came to the Cubs to get more chances at burying the Cardinals.

what happened?

 

1st and 3rd, man on 1st took off for 2nd, Soto threw a 1 hopper down there and the runner from 3rd took off on the throw and scored without a return throw to the plate.
