The Phillies starting lineup that day included 5 players (Bowa, Martin, Hebner, Cardenal, & Sizemore) who would later become CUBS. Amazing what the human mind can remember !! Oh, well, we need another win tonight to avenge that loss.

Originally that was the plan. My sister out in Sacramento has tickets, but David has a wedding to go to on Saturday, and if we had gone to the game Thursday, he wouldn't have gotten back in time, so we scrapped the plans for the game, then he decided to the whole damned week off. Ah..... kids !!

This should be one of Marquis' "on days." This Giants team stinks at home, and we got a pretty clear picture of why last night. They don't really take a lot of pitches and hack away.
