I love that Quentin is automatically juicing because he's good. Nevermind that he was a great prospect that the D-Backs mysteriously gave up on who is entering his prime age. no, not that, clearly cheating

I know you are the moral compass for the board, but all this started with Stone's comments on Soto. Thanks for the input though.

Yes, it is that he is good. Not the points that people have been trying to make about how he has gotten physically bigger. Oh and you know another great prospect was Corey Patterson. I imagine if he put on ten pounds of muscle this offseason and hit 20 homers by the break no one would say anything, because he was once a top prospect.

Apparently the green jacket guy is a regular poster at WSI. If anyone was wondering why he is acting like a jackass that should answer it.

How the hell did you find that out?

Funny thing is, although Drake's strike zone isn't the best, it's the first-base ump who is awful. But at least he's not mouthing off and injecting himself into the game.

MLB needs to get rid of umps like this guy...it's Brenly's common rant. The ump who stares at the dugout and follows after a guy has no place in the game.

This is one of the worst-umpired games I can remember in quite some time.

Last year's series in Atlanta is the only other one that comes to mind for me.

i'm guessing that much of it is just game thread hyperbole actually. or the regular NSBB gut-reaction to anyone who is good on any team that isn't the Cubs

there's no mystery about why they traded him. they already had young and upton, and it was either get rid of quentin or byrnes coming off a big year.

Post of the year and so true.

White Sox Interactive thinks the Cubs get all the breaks

Actually, I'm reading their game thread and most seem to agree that all 3 of the calls that have gone against the Cubs were legit bad calls.

Don't forget we get a healthy dose of Dotel, Linebrink, Jenks in a few innings. We'd better score soon. This team is really good.

That was the Edgar Renteria one, right?

Yes, also Lilly getting tossed in the 1st inning for hitting someone although no warnings had been issued. The umpiring in the whole series was terrible.
