Did they show the last gymnastics events on TV yet (women's balance beam, men's highbar)? If not, they should at least be more fun to watch tonight.

Man, those are terrible photos of them. They look a lot better on the court - or at least a lot different...

Horton was robbed

eh, it was really close. two great routines, Horton with a step at the end. Could've gone either way.

with or without the step it was the same score, though....

Well, Ben Askren wrestled tonight. He won his first match by fall, but was up against last Olympics' bronze medalist in the 2nd round, and was eliminated. In order for Ben to have moved on, the person he lost to would've had to advance to the medal round by beating his next opponent, who is the defending gold champion. That didn't happen, so Ben was eliminated.

Tough draw for him, with the bronze and gold medalists from Athens in his portion of the bracket, but it's still pretty impressive that he was able to make it to the Olympics just a little over a year removed from college wrestling, and he even won a match by pinfall.

usain bolt.

Needs a battery of drug tests ASAP. There is no way anyone should be winning races by jogging while everyone else is busting a blood vessel running as hard as they can

I do find it interesting that, as they were saying on the broadcast, Bolt and Spearman were very even runners for years and then - all of a sudden - Bolt gets a whole lot faster than Spearman.

Not accusing him, but something seems odd with that.

last year at the world championships, tyson gay EASILY beat bolt in the 200m finals. this is when bolt had a reason to run hard, staring at tyson's back, and bolt couldn't have run faster than a 19.85. now, all of the sudden, a year later, he's running that race a half second faster and coasting to victory.

there's no way, there's just no way.
