I'm not usually one to give up this early, especially considering how we've played... but I have pretty much zero confidence that we'll win today.

After that play where DeRosa dropped the ball I felt like this series would be the first series we get swept in

Patience my friends, we may prevail today

Every team gets swept during the year. The Rays are awesome at home, and are certainly good enough to sweep anyone. It sucks but hopefully we can pull out this one or the game tomorrow and take it back to Wrigley where we rule.

A tad bit late there Larry. I think not hitting is throwing off Z big time.

Z pitching badly for the past month is what is throwing off Z. He's lucky that it's only showed up in the statline today and against the Dodgers. I'm pretty sure he's going to continue sucking until he's inevitably put on the DL for arm problems caused by Lou's idiocy.

Z hasn't really pitched that well recently.

Not at all. His numbers wouldn't tell you that....in fact his 7 ER game in LA was probably the best I've seen him throw...which wasn't that great.

You know what's strange? Since his 130 pitch outing, Z has an ERA of 5.79 over 3 starts/18.2 IP. He's given up 26 hits during that time too and has an 11 K/8 BB ratio.

Why the hell can't our ace pitch like one for 6 months once.

There's only a handful of pitchers that can do that. And even they have bad starts from time to time.

This is gonna be an absolute blowout.

Still early there, Tomy.

Another scores, we still don't have an out.

To be fair, it'd be great if either of our middle infielders had any range

No. We're not. We're going to get swept and go back to Chicago with our tails between our legs.

Hooray Old Cubs!

Get our long reliever in! Oh wait our long reliver hasn't pitched in like 9 days and is no longer stretched out to go more than an inning or two because he was used as a LOOGY last month.
