DeRosa came into tonight with an 849 OPS. Not bad for a second baseman.

Theriot has a 761 OPS with a 389 OBP. His fielding can be frustrating at times.

Fontenot has a 720 OPS which isn't great, but considering he's the 24th or 25th man on this team, it's not bad for a bench player who plays second base.

I won't defend Marquis.

I will. He has a 4.24 ERA and a 105 ERA+. Better than league average and better than Ted Lilly, that's for sure.

What happened to Edmonds?

His back, apparently.

Nice inning, Z!

Didn't Reed hurt his back too?

I'd lose my mind if I spent any quality time in these game threads. Back to "just" watching the game. See ya! Oh, go Cubs!

Marquis is not good but he is better than what we give him credit for in my opinion.

way to go DeRo, so u guys still think he's good? thats probably the weakest and most un-clutch .300 batting average i've ever seen

You're un-clutch.

That has about as much meaning as calling a player un-clutch.

i dont have to be clutch, im not getting paid millions to play a game. o and i dont get half the year off either

That's how I see it. I'm sure he'll put together another awful streak of starts soon enough.

With posting habits like those, I'm pretty sure he's just trying to rile people up. And it's working.
