Call me crazy, but I think if Northwestern can find 3 more wins, they're in.

 

You'd either have wins over OSU and Purdue/IL, or you'd have a win over MSU + 2 bubble teams, and a trip to the BTT Finals.

I love having to watch Tennessee v. Alabama over Purdue v. Michigan State because I'm in South Carolina.

 

It's better than having to watch a doppler radar because a couple of thunderstorms went through an hour ago and blew over some billboards and sheds.

Yeah, I'm not watching the hockey game right now because of a combination of a church shooting in Illinois and bad weather in Illinois.

 

Stupid Metro East.

 

EDIT: I know storms are dangerous and all, but they just cut in for another weather update during a hockey fight. #-o

That's partially my thought too. When you've got all these bubble teams losing down the stretch, and basically looking like crap. Then you have the team that's never made the tournament finishing strong, do you really want to make them one of the first 4 out?

Heck, I don't think they even need 3 more wins to get in. A win today and I'd put them ahead of Ohio State and Minnesota just in the Big Ten pecking order, no matter what happens next week.

VMI lost to Radford 108-94 today in the Big South title game.

 

But the most interesting thing to me was the shooting preferences of both teams.

 

Radford attempted 70 field goals with eight of those being 3-pointers. VMI took 76 field goals with 50 being 3-pointers. I knew they shot a ton of 3's but holy crap.

 

As a fan of a team who wouldn't have to play them in the 1st round, I'm really pissed VMI won't be in the tourney.

 

A VMI-UNC first round game or against another team that likes to play an uptempo style would have been all kinds of entertaining. It would have been similar to two years ago when Tennessee beat Long Beach State 121-86.

He's hitting from everywhere. Not quite like LeBron James a couple weeks ago when he was throwing up 35-footers but Eldridge has been amazing in this game.

When he's on, it doesn't matter how tough your defense is.

 

Is it a good thing that he seems to be the only one shooting?

 

Yeah, he's making shots, but ultimately, somebody else is going to have to come through for them to win.

 

Otherwise, he's going to start taking bad shots.
