Ohio State and Michigan State sweep the individual awards.

Lucas was POY, Walton was defensive POY. Mullens was 6th man of the year, Buford was freshman of the year. Was really hoping Gatens would get it but their numbers are pretty similar and OSU obviously was much better.

Didn't catch the 1st, 2nd and 3rd teams.

this might make you not hate duke for about 10 minutes

Yeah maybe if it wasn't another fluff piece by ESPN about Duke. How bout they quit shoving them down everyone else's throats? Maybe then people would stop hating Duke.

Chester Fraizer lost his dad last year. I'm sure he misses him as much as Nolan Smith does his dad. They are probabbly just late getting around to that article. Pretty much every team deals with issues like this, but when it's at Duke we get these type stories from ESPN. Oh you shouldn't hate them, something bad happened to them.

Why I hate UNC is that they are everything Duke is, except because not as many people hate them, their fans are even more holier than thou. At least for the most part, of the Duke fans I know, they actually understand it, the UNC faithful are agasp at the very thought that someone could dislike them.

Yeah the two of them are pretty close. I hate UNC more because of '05 than anything else though.

UNC fans are pretty bad.

Living in Kansas City, I could say your fans are right up there with them. All fans are annoying. But, if KU had been involved with the Piggie case, you bet it would have made more of a splash on ESPN. Hell the Wall thing was a big deal on ESPN. That's what I hate more than anything. I don't even mind the Duke fans. They are kinda dorky at Cameron, but the ESPN love is what is ridiculous.

I've found that anytime I live in the city of a fanbase I don't like, that group moves toward the top of the list of fangroups I hate.

I'm sure KU fans can be pretty self important. But KU doesn't get nearly the attention on the national networks that Duke/UNC does.

This Charleston/Chattanooga game has been awesome. It was 34-34 at the half. Chattanooga goes on a 20-0 run to open the first 6:30 of the 2nd half. Charleston answers with a 14-0 run over the next 2:30. 58-51 right now with 7:16 to go.

Bobby Cremins is Charleston's coach.

Screw you, St. Mary's (though my disappointment with Gonzaga winning won't even matter if UCLA doesn't win the Pac-10 Tourney).

Did you read it?

I've never seen anyone as bored at a basketball game as Greg Maddux at the WCC championship. He looks like he'd rather be charting hitters and sitting next to a rocking Leo Mazzone.

I'd be pretty annoyed if I was stuck watching that instead of Siena/Niagra

Seriously, it feels like they're playing 5 on 4. Somehow there's always a body not covered on the glass, and then you've got 3 Siena guys swarming the ballhandler at halfcourt, with nobody to pass to.

Did you read it?

Yes I read it. It was almost as good as the one they ran about JJ writing poetry. Or the piece of "journalism" they put out about Shelden Williams' rape case. The one where they were able to declare it a non issue without even interviewing the girl.

Poor, poor Duke players.

It was actually nothing like those two pieces

I'm aware that it was nothing like them, I said that I almost liked it as much. I really liked the part where coach K had to tell Nolan he wasn't starting. How would he handle it?

Where's the article about Chester Frazier's dad dying this past year and Chester playing this year in honor of him? ESPN not have time to write that one?
