Any of you fine gentlemen have any insight on the UI-OSU matchup tonight? I really know very little about OSU's team this year other than they have another highly thought of Freshman big man and Matta seems to be a good coach.

They're inconsistent without Lighty. Evan Turner is a stud. BJ Mullens (#1 recruit in '08 class) has not done much of anything. Lauderdale is the big man to worry about. Tis is probably gonna get abused on the boards again.

Illinois: 71

OSU: 58

ETA: Forget what I said about Mullens, he's got double digits in each of his last 4 games.

The number 1 recruit from '08 was either Monroe or Jennings depending on which service you like. BJ Mullens was not that highly reguarded.

That ranking no longer exists in our system. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

I'm not sure what happened there; the new link is functional.

yeah, mullens was the top center recruit last year.

and if i had evan turner on my team and we were in a slump, i would tell him to take it to the hole every single time.

i hate thad matta, but it's nice to finally get a win over these buckeye a-holes.

God Michigan sucks. I tried to ignore the numbers that said Michigan wasn't as good as their record, but it's definitely showing. They will be lucky to make the NIT at this rate. Duke and UCLA should be ashamed of theirselves.

everyone that played more than 1 minute had more boards than tisdale(1). the exception was jordan, who had 0 in 7 minutes.

i don't want to talk about it. he's got a devastating hook shot, but we just can't afford to have him out there on the ocurt for very long. if we do, we end up getting demolished on the boards because despite his superhuman height, he cannot simply grab the ball when it's in the air before anyone else. he's weak, he's like the weakest basketball player that ever lived. there's no excuse for being so weak at such an age.

I was hoping for a PSU win, but wasn't expecting it to be that ugly. My thin hopes for PSU to stay on the NCAA bubble are alive for another day

Weaker than Nick Smith?

Not trash talk, serious question.

Tennessee with a nice win in Nashville tonight. No, Vandy is not as good as in previous years, but any win in Memorial Gymnasium, with their stupid end-of-the-court benches, is good.

Next up, Memphis State.

I'm considering making the trip to the Joyce Center on Saturday for College Gameday, but I'm wondering how many people will be lined up to go in well before the 10 am door-opening.

Well DePaul lost to South Florida for the second time this year, meaning their odds of going 0-18 in the Big East go up big time.

Anthony Tucker was ruled academically ineligible today and will miss the rest of the season. He was an honor roll kid at a decent school in high school who apparently just got lazy. He was still Iowa's leading scorer despite getting limited minutes since coming down with mono.

This is in addition to Cyrus Tate's high ankle sprain that's caused him to miss the last 3 games plus at least tonight, Jake Kelly's broken middle finger on his shooting hand (and shin splints) and Jeff Peterson's broken bone in his wrist.

My entire outlook has gone up in flames the last two weeks. Trouble.

Really makes you wonder why Wisky is only a 3.5 point favorite in Vegas.(opened at 2.5)

I'm rooting for it at this point. Either way, unless they go on the most unlikely winning streak in the history of sports, Wainwright is gone! =D> =D>

Let's hope Ponsetto and the priests don't cheap out on the next hire.
