sigh. i would love to have a point guard. Patterson also seems indifferent to the outcome of the game. i know he's not getting many looks at all, but it doesn't seem like he's playing very hard.

IU with a hard fought win over IUPUI. Yeah, I know shut up. But it was a good win for the young group of Hoosiers, went down to the wire. 19-2 run to end the 1st half, was probably the best 7 minutes of basketball this team is capable of. Granted the competition was weak and the rest of the game they were beaten 55-41.

The Big Ten hasn't had any bad losses as of yet, at least. Probably safe until tomorrow, as it looks like Wisconsin is going to squeak by tonight.

Nobody has lost in the conference at all.

I really want a piece of Tyler Hansbrough and UNC in the Maui final - I'd love to see Luke Harangody go up against him, and of course there's my loathing of UNC. And the obvious benefit of boosting our SOS. Hopefully we can get through IU and Texas to get there.

Ha ha, write down a victory Monday. It will get ugly quick. Texas will be a battle though.

I'm not sure LewJack is going to be able to become a player at the big ten level due to his size. That's a pretty big obstacle to overcome, especially in a conference that allows defenders to punch a guy in the face as long as they're on their homecourt.

I don't think he will ever become dominant but I think he can be a 15 point scorer and top assist player. His shooting seems to need work but Keaton Grant went from a crappy 3-pt shooter to one of the Big Ten's top ones.

and then he'd be deron williams, who was dominant.

im hoping that he will be the one to replace Coach K as it seems we won't go outside the "Duke family"

Oh my god what a fun game that was

stephen curry is unlike any shooter i've seen in a long time. he makes it look like a high school game — i don't know how to make that make sense, but the way he gets loose reminds me of a HS kid that is just leagues better than his competition.

And blake griffin is a beast. He's amare stoudamire with no jumper, and how many teams wish they would have picked amare toudamire

Scoring 15 pts/game and being near the top of the league in assists is dominant.

I'll eat your hat if LewJack ever averages 15 pts/game. I'd put less than even money on him averaging double digits ever.

I said he could be that. Its his ceiling. He is already a very good passer averaging almost 4 assists a game in about 22 minutes (and only has 1 total turnover). He's also good at steals having five in three games. Judging by him having attempted a three in every game I'm guessing he can actually shoot 3's pretty well so he should start making some at some point. From what I saw in the first two games I would say he should average 5 pts 3-4 assists and a steal off the bench in about 20 minutes of play this year. For a freshman guard that's pretty darn good.

Is it just me, or is the worst compliment ever given? Call me crazy, but if Amare didn't have a jumper, the number of teams who'd wish they had drafted him would go down.

That Fukudome is a beast. He's Ichiro without the ability to hit.

amare didn't have a jumper his first year in the league and look how that turned out

despite being an ou fan, i'm willing to not hop on the blake griffin A No. 1 Duke of New York bandwagon, but it's hard to stay off when he's scoring 20 ppg on 80 percent from the field and pulling down 20 rebounds a game.

Im going to get tired of Stephen Curry very quickly.

The dude seems to make every shot. It was getting stupid toward the end of the game.

i know. lewjack is a nice little player and is a good fit at purdue, but i don't think anyone should expect him to be able to get his shot off consistently. he could be top 3 in assists year in and out, though.

I don't mean to disparage Lewjack, I think he could be a 6th man on a championship caliber team, but expecting much in the way of scoring from him is a big mistake. If Purdue is ever in the situation where Jackson is scoring 12 points per game, then Painter has failed as a recruiter.

I think Capel is great. I've heard he burned some bridges with Coach K, but I'm not sure that is true. I think he will leave eventually for a better program where the fans show up to most of the games.

Hey Warp, what can you tell me about Arkansas this year?

Hey Warp, what can you tell me about Arkansas this year?

rotnei clarke is a true freshman pg/sg that holds the all-time record for points in a career in the state of oklahoma

i'm not sure how well his game will translate to college, but he can light it up

That's what I've heard. UCD's coach said he can shoot from anywhere and will light it up from 3.

Out of curiosity, do you know why he didn't stay in state for college?

arkansas recruited him pretty hard

a tulsa world guy told me that he went to UofA for a visit and whoever the coach was then said "I want to see you shoot," gave him a ball and started rebounding for him. so clarke shoots 100 3s and hits 92 of them. when he gets loose it's just ridiculous.

he didn't stay in state because he wanted to go bigger than TU or ORU, OU recruited a top 10 guy (willie warren) that plays the same position and OSU went after Keiton Page, who is basically the same player as Clarke (actually scored more and shot better than Clarke did last year), but is a better shooter.

I think all four schools offered him, but he's got a better chance to play at arkansas
