There is no God

it's the damn reds. remember who manages them?

arroyo only threw 86 pitches and gave up 2 hits..he was immediately removed from the gave to start the 7th.

That's actually incredibly un-Dusty of him.

I wonder when the Cardinals will realize no one likes them and they aren't supposed to be good.

It'd be nice of they collapsed like the 06 Tigers and the Twins won the division, except the Cubs lead the division by more games instead of coming back to win it.

Arroyo had himself pulled. After the inning he said something to Dusty and the pitching coach, and they called the bullpen.

Looking at this lineup, it's amazing that they're winning as much as they are. It drives me nuts:

Cards

Schumaker LF - scrub-good 4th OF

Miles 2B - scrub-nice backup inf

Ludwick RF - should-be scrub-lots of injuries, may finally be reaching potential

Ankiel CF - decent-agree

Glaus 3B - washed up-maybe, maybe not

Duncan 1B - scrub-injured, not terrible

Molina C - scrub-great def. catcher, learning how to hit a little

Pineiro P - scrub-good when not injured

Izturis SS - terrible-yes

Urgh.

Bottom line is you're underestimating them a little, but they are playing way, way over their heads, and I don't expect it to continue with Pujols and Wainwright on the DL.

If Philadelphia holds on to its 3-0, 9th inning lead against Florida, we are 6.5 games clear of the wildcard.

Go Phillies this weekend as well!
