Patterson is completely worthless.

what a stupid overreaction

It's a reaction to his entire body of work throughout a professional career.

Professional career?

.301/.366/.468 - 1633 minor league AB

Wood's K-rate has been just absurdly nasty lately.

I have no numbers to back this, just my observation from watching the games.

And this is like the 5th time I've mentioned this, but he's had 14 AB's in the majors before today's game. I guess that's an "entire body of work."

That makes it even more stupid when you look at his minor league numbers.

How the heck did he get out of the way?

Better question is why did he get out of the way?

I think that alot when batters twist and turn to get out of the way, or back away from a slow curveball inside. I remember having a practice to specifically learn how to lean into a pitch. Our coach spent 2 hours chucking balls at us. I think he had a great time.

Sounds like that hilarious video that was posted here a couple months ago.

That slider is almost too filthy. He's almost hitting every hitter with it, but he's getting swings and misses on them.
