So what's been the deal with Lilly? It seems like he just had one bad inning where he gave up the homer and has been fine the rest of the way?

Here's something that just popped up on the Cards mlb.com board....reported by Mike Shannon.

Shannon just said clubhouse reports it is a left calf strain to be reevaluated tomorrow.

Just got back from class. Something's wrong with Pujols, I hear?

His leg might have just gone "pop".

His shoulder has been trying to pop for like 4 years now and they keep sprinkling more fairie dust on it

Wow, Aramis has really stepped up his defense this year.

not just this year.... pretty much any defensive metric last year rated him among the top quarter of starting third basemen.

Wow, Aramis has really stepped up his defense this year.

It started last year, when he should've won the gold glove.

Just got back from dinner with the padres...nice to see Lee has homered. Soto is next!

How's Greg Maddux doing these days?

Or, as an alternate joke, I was unaware you had two dads. :D

Early word on Pujols:

"Strain, will reevaluate tomorrow."

That's code for "it's a legit injury, not a cramp, but we have no idea how serious. He could be playing in a week or done for the year."

Don't worry Mitch Boggs is in line to win the Cy Young award.

If Lilly could work on his HR problems he'd be a great pitcher.

he's a fly ball pitcher, home runs are going to happen... curt schilling is another example of a guy who always gave up a lot of home runs, but he did a good job of preventing baserunners by keeping his walk rate low. that's the key for lilly, IMO.
