Off topic.....What happened to Juan Mateo??

Likely to retire. He flopped horribly in Iowa and Tennessee in rehab stints. He refused to be bumped down to Daytona.

He had like two good starts in a row once, didn't he? That's about all I remember from Juan.

Mateo also nailed Clemens after Roger hit a few Cubs in the '06 game that went 18 innings.

best reliever in baseball.

i don't know, bobby jenks is real real good. and he's got way more saves than marmol. plus he won a world series.

come back and tell me that when marmol has a few years of closing out games under his belt, then they can be comparable. saves are way more important than whatever it is that marmol does.

there, is that a good sox fan impression or what?

Needs more grammar and spelling errors. Don't forget a reference to one of the Cubs' historical screwups.

better yet, ask him if he'd ever heard of ryan ludwick before ludwick's body became possessed by the spirit of stan musial.

Or Kent Bottenfield magically turning himself into Greg Maddux for one yr, so that the Cards could trade him (with current Card Adam Kennedy for Jim Edmonds.

Cards fans have no room to saying another team is "lucky."

You should also add, "has Marmol ever set his own arm on fire? No. Case closed."

And, "Damn, I'm drunk. I better get done beating my wife. It's late and I have a busy day pouring concrete tomorrow."

change the last sentence, sox fans don't have jobs. he might be pouring concrete tomorrow, but it's not his job.

Oh, dont forget the one things some Sox fans say to me (which i hate to hear), "So, what has it been... 100 years?"

followed by edmonds putting up his top six OPS+ seasons with the cards - all of which came after he was in his early to mid 30s.

nobody ever mentions edmonds and PEDs, but it wouldn't surprise me.

Thanks.

That sucks for him. For some reason I just remembered the couple of games he pitched well in in 05 or 06.

Great Ab by Derosa. Great job by Lou to go with the pinch runner/better defender. I actually like the sac bunt call with Reed against a RHP and up 1 going into the 9th.
