Theriot sucks

I guess Cedeno does to since he made an error the other night too.

i liked the game thread the other day when someone sarcastically said "nice range theriot" after a ground ball through the infield, not realizing that cedeno was the offending party.

Relax, guys. Game threads are for gut reactions. No I don't think Theriot sucks overall because of that play. But yes, I do think he sucked on that play.

Watching Marquis pitch against the Rockies lineup reminds me of a little league story.

I was 8 or 9, I think, whatever the youngest age they let you play against live pitching is. I was horrible and had sat the bench all season, outside of my obligatory inning (preferably, in the coach's mind, used when I had little chance to bat).

We faced some kid who soft-tossed but had decent control and he befuddled our entire lineup, while I begged the coach to let me hit because I figured this kid threw my speed.

I didn't get to bat that game, but we faced them in the playoffs and I blooped a double to right, the only time in my life I hit a ball to the outfield on the fly in competitive play.

Theriot would have caught it.

I'll only say this once tonight, but this goes for everyone out there:

If you are outdoors and more than 10 feet from your target, flash is useless. Do not sit in the freaking stands and pop your flash off trying to take a picture. It does nothing.

I remember a poster's friend said Seth McClung would be a good 2 or 3 starter...he SUCKED today....hahhaha

that poster needs more intelligent friends

Just because the cards did it with Looper doesn't mean anyone else will be able to pull off using crap middle relievers as starters.

What you never hit the ball to the outfield in the air again? Did you quit early?

For some reason, I read the bolded as "flashing" which made me think "you have really bad eyesight."

Another year after that. I was really, really, really bad.

I see. I was too until about my 7th grade year. Then I became pretty good overnight. I also caught up with everyone in size and surpassed most of them.

hey remember when roy oswalt was really awesome at baseball and had one of the top 10 ERA+'s of all time, and looked like a shoe-in for cooperstown?

anyone can have a bad year. Z last year. I wouldn't give up on him just yet.

then I traded him for a guy who promptly took a line-drive off the face. Only fair that Oswalt sucks now.
