I want to see Fukudome move up into the 2nd spot but the only way that happens is if Theriot starts to fall off. The longer Theriot keeps a .400 OBP the better, so I'll keep waiting.

i feel pretty good about this game, but then again, Derek Lowe was a giant suckfest entering yesterday's game and he shut us out for 7 innings

To be fair, Lowe shut down the Cardinals in his start before last night, too.

Pitching probables for the series:

 

Francis vs. Marquis

Cook vs. Lilly

_____ vs. Dempster

Jiminez vs. Gallagher

 

We have our 4 and 5 starters going this series, and our number 2 starter is matched up against probably their best, and a guy that owns us and has already owned us once this year. Honestly, the Rockies are down, but I'm thinking a split is likely here. Either that or I am just being a pessimistic jerk.

 

How does that projec for the 10th vs. Atl? There is an off day on the 9th. Just curious as I am going to be there.

 

My guess would be Lilly. There is an offday on the 9th, so they could skip him, but obviously there would be no reason to.

 

29 - Marquis, 30 - Lilly, 31 - Demp, 1 - Gallagher, 2 - Zambrano, 3 - Marquis, 4 - Lilly, 5 - Demp, 6 - Gallagher, 7 - Zambrano, 8 - Marquis, 9 - Off, 10 - Lilly

Lowe is a righty, and he was still on the bench.

 

He was also 3 for 25 against him in his career...
