4 hours to game time and the pirates already have a 3 run lead.

I think your son could go 3/4 against Marquis with two home runs at this point.

Bobby Bonilla just went yard.

It was a three run homer. Marquis gave up a double to Sid Bream and a walk to Doug Drabek earlier in the inning.

Gotta love a Sid Bream reference. He might've had the worst knees in the history of baseball.

Pedro Alvarez just hit a bases clearing double.

Rather than go back in time, I prefer to look to the future!

Yeah, right. Isn't there some closer who projects as a middle reliever that they can snatch up to save money instead?

Cubs don't have a top 5 pick though.

They usually reach on a LHP. Christian Friedrich would fit the bill.

However, the new management stated they were going to make a statement in this draft and take the top player on their board, regardless of salary demands.

If only they could take Alvarez at 19...sigh.

But, I was talking about Pedro playing for the Pirates.

I'll believe it when I see it. FWIW didn't they say the same thing after they picked Bullington instead of Upton?

Wouldn't matter anyways. They didn't pick the college stud last year, they probably wouldn't this year either.

Willie Stargell just doubled in Dave Parker after an intentional walk to Barry Bonds.

We Are Family must be blaring on the loudspeakers.

Interesting. I like this lineup against left-handers.

Now that Lou likes Soto in the 5-hole, I am thinking that Fuku is going to move up to #2 pretty soon.

I can't see Lou moving Theriot down as long as he's hitting this well.

And what's up with all these old Pirates players, yet no mention of this guy...

Ugh....as much as I love Soto moving up to 5th, the fact that Fukudome is moving down in the lineup worries me a lot. His one great skill is OBP, and its being wasted. Hopefully its only a LH lineup

He needs to be hitting 2nd.
