Those balls couldn't have been hit much more lightly. Those are tough luck hits, so get off Wuertz's back.

Yeah right, the Bourn single was a line drive on a terrible 0-2 pitch that was on a tee.

Cool. Back to back singles with the easy part of the 8th inning. It's better than back to back walks I guess. I'm happy the 3-4-5 hitters aren't coming up next.

So you bring in the righty instead of the lefty and then go to marmol when 2 lefties get on?

I'm pretty sure Matsui is a switch hitter.

ESPN: "By the way....we just wanted to remind you guys that a Red Sox pitcher threw a no-hitter!!! In other news, a New York Yankees player sneezed twice in succession today! Stay tuned for Baseball Tonight after this game to find out which Yankee it was." Edited by OleMissCub

The "This" thing has to stop. It's no longer funny, clever, or original. It's as bad as the green font thing.

Why is Marmol warming up? lou doesn't want to pitch wood 4 innings in 5 days?

BEcause our bullpen blows besides those 2

Wuertz has been very good for the past 2-3 weeks, and solid generally

Not to mention that prior to tonight, Wuertz had given up two baserunners in his last 7.2 innings pitched.

Uh oh, Lou's pissed!

Yeah, we'll ignore that Wuertz has a better ERA than Wood.
