I was thinking about what Len and Bob had to say about putting out the worst lineup possible. This is what I came out with:

Cedeno, SS

Fontenot, 2B

Ward, 1B

DeRosa, 3B

Edmonds, CF

Hoffpauir, RF

Blanco, C

Johnson, LF

Marquis, P

I bet this team could win some games if given a shot.

Soriano having a tough night....maybe that means DLee will totally snap out of it. BB has a theory that having a hot player means another player gets cold. It's the worst theory I've ever heard.

Soriano stole Lee's beard and now keeps it tucked inside his uniform. Therein lies his power.

Man, it feels good to know the Cobs are patient at the plate these days

The change in Ronny in particular has been incredible so far.

He saw 3.49 pitchers per plate appearance in 2006 (under Dusty...), but so far he's seeing 4.09 this year. That's a huge difference. He was near the bottom of the league (including pitchers) in 2006, but now he's almost in the top 50.

I keep waiting (not hoping) for Theriot to regress to his norm and it just hasn't happened. He's been a great surprise thus far.

Hoffpauir and Ward will never be on the team at the same time.

Marquis is a pretty good hitter, at least. He could allow 6 runs a game, but hit a RBI or two each time

I guess maybe Cedeno could say he was trying to get caught in a run down to make sure the run scored. Wow...that's a stretch. Maybe I should just use the Chewbacca defense next time.
