My question is....if Scherzer loaded the bases, why the heck is Derrek Lee swing on the first pitch? It he stays patient, Scherzer would have grooved him one later in the at-bat. There was no reason why Lee should be "first pitch" swinging.

 

That inning will prove the Cubs downfall this game.

We always tend to do that. While we have been more patient this year, it seems like we lose that once we get into a spot just like that.

No, it just wasn't that deep. The RFer has a great arm and was able to get a running start with the catch. The throw would have had to have been quite offline to have any chance to score.
