Yost strikes again. Too bad for the kid, but hopefully this brutal error by Yost doesn't lead to his firing.

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports that Yovani Gallardo has a torn ACL.

An examination of Gallardo in Milwaukee on Friday morning revealed the injury, which Gallardo suffered in a collision with Reed Johnson on Thursday. The team will wait until swelling subsides to determine if he needs surgery, but he'll likely miss the rest of the season. Dave Bush will be recalled and replace him in the rotation.

Always hate to see that happen, especially to a young pitcher..Weve had it happen to us plenty of times.Welcome to our world Milwaukee.

That's a joke. I wonder how Brewers fans feel now. You could tell there was something wrong with him. Yost should be fired immediately.

Who didn't see this coming? It was pretty obvious that he was hurt after that play. Yost should be fired immediately for allowing him to stay in the game.

He probably didn't do anything significant to his arm after he went back onto the mound, but what a stupid decision by Yost. It's like the NL Central is in some bizarre repeating loop.

Here is the link.

I was surprised they kept him pitching yesterday. Wish he would have blown out his shoulder/arm while at it.

classy

another boneheaded move by yost. the effects it could've had on the rest of his body aside, there are different degrees of acl tears. he couldve made a slightly torn tendon a completely torn tendon. did he not see the immediate excruciating pain he was in?

I call shennanigans on this. ELCABALLO45 promised us all yesterday that Yovanni said he was fine.

In all seriousness though this is stupid. The Brewers have to get rid of Yost. Why the hell would you have left him out there after that happened?

i don't even know why you would chance that with someone like gallardo (or anyone for that matter, but it's even more completely insane with a kid that's part of the future of your team).

Why would he throw Sheets for 110 or whatever pitches his first game back from being hurt? If they are going to win anything they have to have him healthy. But, Yost had to beat us during a game in April. That game was well worth the risk to Ned and that is why they have to get rid of him. Look at the whole picture idiot.

Even though he plays a large role in our biggest competition and also is the ace of my biggest sim league rival's staff, I am a little sad. I really really like Gallardo.

Yeah he is a stud and he was a really nice guy a year ago when he was in AAA. He deserves better than Ned Yost.
