Bob is in such a bitchy mood, I'd ALMOST rather have Plesac out there... almost.

I'm in a bitchy mood too. We all should be in a bitchy mood. This has been awful to watch... and he HAS to stay there for the whole thing.

it hasn't been that awful. we're only down 1 run.

It has been painful to watch. It's a miracle that it's a one run game.

why is Felix Pie a major league baseball player?

Why is Alfonso Soriano one?

Small. Sample. Sizes.

Dude, its the 3rd inning, and Pie has:

Struck out

Airmailed a throw nowhere near Soto when there was a chance at a play

almost killed Ryan Theriot(which the Cedeno faithfull may feel was a good thing)

If there was ever a game this season for Piniella to get ejected and start throw crap out of the dugout today is the day. A bench clearing fight might not be such a bad thing either :-).

I stopped being a fan of bench clearing fights and managerial meltdowns when MLB started using them as an excuse to hand out insanely disproportionate suspensions to the Cubs.

This and he was here in '06. He should be thrilled about this team.

I was about to make a reference to '06... I guess he's got higher expectations for this team.

Bob talking about happy hour, maybe he needs a couple of brews.

what is Len and Bob talking about? stop talking about leadoff. Nobody cares.

what bob's not considering is that the leadoff man gets more plate appearances than anyone else over the course of a season, and soriano's ops is good enough to want him to have as many plate appearances as possible.

It's honestly like the Cubs don't want to win. Like there was some sort of secret meeting where they realized they had far and away the best talent and the division, and the solution they came up with was to mess with their No. 2 pitcher, fall in love with a recently released CFer, bury their best SS and screw up their bullpen usage.

Maybe then Cedeno would get some playing time.

Replace Theriot with Reed Johnson and Soto with Ramirez, and Fukudome did two of those three things yesterdray.

That was a good top half of the 3rd for the Cubs. People got on base. There was even a run and whatnot. 2-1. Now let's see a good shutout from Lieber for the next 6 and score a few more runs :)

oh god no...not Plesac. Pleasac makes me yearn for the Joe Carter era.

Carter: So Jim (McMahon), do you still talk to commissioner Rozelle to try to patch things up?

McMahon: No Joe, Rozelle's been dead for years.

Screw you, Theriot

Seriously. How many of those are we going to have to see before Ronny plays?
