Wow, basically pulled Pie for Fontenot.

and also gained 8 spots in the batting order. If they had let Lou move Pie to 9th in the batting order and the pitcher to 8th, he likely would have done that. Unfortunately that's against the rules, and Pie was the logical choice to be double switched out of the game there.

 

Of course, it's all predicated on Hart being effective enough to go multiple innings, which he hasn't shown so far in this outing.

He's the victim of Corey Patterson's failures. Every black fast CF that comes up from now on that doesn't hit 400 out of the gate is another Corey Patterson.

 

Way to hurry up on that play Theriot.

he was late on two fastballs, one of which was 89 mph. the swing sure looked too long on those cuts.

Actually, through his last few outings he has looked to have turned the corner IMO. Feel free to quote this if he screws up next inning though.

My bad. I think Hart saw he was up and knew he had to do it himself if he wanted to save his ERA.
