Memo to Lou: stop sending Theriot (or pretty much anyone) to steal bases in front of our big hitters. Don't take out Cedeno with the bases loaded. Stop depleting our bench before the game is done. Don't sac bunt when your hitters are DeRosa/Soto/Cedeno. STOP OVERMANAGING.

Who the hell is Matt Chico?

Unfortunately, I remember him far too well from last years July 4th game when he simply dominated us.

I just don't see Chico having the same kind of game. Especially if the first 21 games Cubs show back up, and not the last 2 games Cubs.

i didn't follow the game thread last night, so i'm sure it was discussed, but was anyone else completely disoriented by the high camera position behind home plate last night? I couldn't get the correct trajectory on any balls hit to the outfield

Ugly looking forecast for this one, the bad feeling of last night's loss may last one more day...

Our Pen could use the rest.

will it? Accuweather.com says theres a chance for a 4 o'clock thunderstorm but otherwise it's partly sunny. I don't think there will be any problem getting this one in.

Yeah, having 2 straight games where the starters go 7 innings is exhausting.

Just an FYI, today's my birthday, and the Cubs haven't won on my birthday since 2001, so don't expect this W.

happy birthday, my wife's is tomorrow. if they don't win on her birthday she gets no present.
