Percentage wise we have to be the worst ballclub when it comes to steal.

 

To borrow from PJ O'Rourke,

Giving Lou Piniella the opportunity to call for stolen bases is like giving whiskey and car keys to teenage boys.

Pretty close. With that failed attempt, there are now only 6 worse teams when it comes to percentage.

It's strange, because that was one of the things that he was praised for when he was hired. His teams during his managerial career had always been one of the best in stolen base percentage.

Sorry if it's been mentioned before, but is Gameday not working for anyone else? It may be a firefox plugin thing on my end, but ESPN's worked earlier.

I don't remember him being this aggressive (and reckless) last year.
