Seven runs. 80 pitches and they're not out of the third? Wow.

Can the Cubs play the Bucs every day?

Only if Rob Mackowiak stays away from the Pirates and never, ever, ever gets his wife pregnant again.

That's what I was thinking. They are bad at everything. Defensively, offensively, pitching. Not one facet of their game is good.

They actually have been pretty good when they aren't playing us.

L0LERZZZ, YEAH, DAT WHUT EVERY1 IZ SAYIN!!!1!!!1!!

you're kidding me. it isn't?

Or, alternatively, we could get a hitter above replacement level.

thats what he's been thus far this season. yet the despisal of him on here is so intense that we've still got non-stop complaining about his inclusion in the lineup. i really can't relate to the loathing of a player on your team who has produced well for you thus far and given full effort. if he's back to a .672 ops again soon then the complaints may become more valid.

If only we had a young SS who tore the crud out of AAA last seaon and had a .385 OBP in the bigs this season going into today.

and a .364 slg. all hail the savior.

Jason will have a pretty tough time blowing this one.

How much complaining has there been of his play this year? I mean you are basing things off of a 2 week sample size of games, which is a bit ridiculous considering the wealth of information we can draw about his past play.

EDIT: BTW I'm not against riding him out there every day, until he either hits a dry patch or not, but I still don't think he should lead off or bat 2nd. Fukudome should be in the mix there.

LMAO. I'm always out and doing work/errands when the Cubs explode on offense.

Tomorrow I'm home. You can bet your bottom dollar we won't score much.

SUCKS!

DeRosa DP in 3...2...

Yeah, boy, that DeRosa sure has been an unreliable, terrible hitter this year. Man, you nailed that one.

He's been about as wrong about DeRosa thus far as you have been about Theriot this season.
