So has anyone else been tracking long time journeyman turned minor league coach turned Brewers savior Gabe Kapler lately? Hes like the top hitter in all of baseball.

Now I doubt that he'll keep up this pace for long, but what if he does? What happens when Mike Cameron is eligable to return? They cant send him to the bench. Do they risk a return to 3B for Ryan Braun, and let Weeks, Hall, and hardy fight it out for the 2 middle infield positions? Do they actually bench Braun if he keeps hitting the way he is? As of now, between him, Kapler, and Hart, hes the weak link.

Granted, its the type of problem a manager likes to have, but it leaves them with some difficult decisions.

So you seriously think benching Braun would be an option based on two weeks of good hitting by a player who has established in over 2000 at bats that he is below average?

I hope not.

Like Caballo said, once Cameron gets back, he'll be starting and Kapler will be the first guy off the bench. He is hitting the ball extremely well though.
