  1. Ladies and Gentlemen, we've found the NSBB version of the drunk bleacher bum throwing beer at opposing players. He may not be representative of an entire fanbase, but he's an embarrassing douchebag nonetheless... easy there, kiddo Are you suggesting that a drunk throwing beer at opposing players ISN'T embarrassing to decent Cubs fans? I'm talking about the bolded part. So was I.

  4. Enormous sigs are irritating enough, you don't think it's going to irritate people when he adds a sig(after yesterday's game) that's a huge pic of Braun? Exactly, thats the point I just made in the quoted line above. Huge sigs ARE ridiculous, I agree. Especially when they are following a 1-5 word post...
  5. That's it? Post count taunts? Sheeesh. I guess it must be easy to get to 12000 if your last 3 "contributions" to this thread are anything to go by. I thought I wouldn't find anything more moronic than the level of the debate for the first 6 pages of this thread. I was wrong. Congrats.
  6. I'm no expert, but I'm just guessing that it might have something to do with that whole "freedom of speech" thing that we fight so hard to protect. Listen, nothing that's been said by any fan of the Brewers on this site hasn't already been said by one of the Wrigley faithful many times (and with some embelishment) on this board. Had Ryan Braun not just had the winning hit in a tough loss, I'm willing to bet that a poster with a Braun pic in his sig wouldn't have ruffled so many feathers. From what I can tell there are Pirates and Reds fans who post here(some with pics in their sig). Many of the guys here can have actual discourse with other fans in a respectful, if sometimes cruel, way. I guess Mr Caballo just found the posters with the sandy vaginas... good job buddy, now you're on the list too Relax, Francis. im about 2 blow my top at u Did U suddenly B come Prince? Why 4, Francis?

  9. There seems to be sand in quite a few vaginas of certain posters for one game in May. I'm stunned that this thread has gotten to 6 pages based almost entirely on "yes we are", "no you're not" debate. Brewers fans would be advised that posting after a heartbreaking loss is never gonna elicit anything other than juvenile bitterness. Cubs fans probably want to not bring up the "one and done" series in the postseason 2007 as proof of anything worthwhile. I'm just sayin'...
  10. I'm guessing he gave her the "splitter" and she responded with a "knuckleball"...
  11. I pissed myself when I heard this news!
  12. I'm not one for routinely chucking things at umps, but I have to say that this season seems to have some of the worst officiating ever.
  13. It sure doesn't. It must be in the Steinbrenner gene pool, I guess. Spend Money Make Stupid Moves Make Desperate Signings Try And Win At All Costs Even If It's Futile and Will Set Us Back A Few Years. Blame Others For Our Failures Maybe when they clone the next generation of Steinbrenners, the scientists will remember to turn off these genes. I had to look twice to see that it was the Yankees you were referencing. You know, pots and kettles...
  14. Sorry, can't do it. Can't put it on Gagne this time. If Weeks makes a play that T-Ball kids make then it's game over and it doesn't go 12 innings.
  15. Brewers Win, and, despite playing pretty crappy for the first month, are still right in the hunt. Somehow, come September, ESPN might not get to use their "hilarious" NL "Comedy" Central gag. As much as I hate to say it, the Cards could get all their arms back at one time and make it a real 3 horse race to the line.
  16. Yep, that 20-something sample size of at-bats is all the reason the Brewers need to move or bench the reigning Rookie of the Year... Now if Dusty were in charge...
  17. Not so fast, Cochise. The Royals aren't even the 2nd worst team in the AL Central. IMO both the Twins and White Sox are worse than them. Meche, Bannister and Greinke is a better 1-2-3 starter lineup than 80% of the league, also.
  18. Is the answer "Brian Roberts"? I'm just asking cos the answer to most questions lately has been "Brian Roberts". Or, if it was "Jeopardy", "who is Brian Roberts?"...
  19. I'm not sure even the most rampant homer could class winning the season series 9-6 as owning (or even pwning). Especially when we consider that there were 9 games played at Wrigley compared to 6 at Miller Park... I'm jus' sayin'.
  20. I guess you don't understand the rules for some people here. Its simple: 1. Ryan Theriot is the worst player to ever put on a Cubs uniform (since last year's scapegoat is no longer on the team) 2. Each loss will be, more than any other single player, blamed on him. 3. ANYTHING good he ever does is negated by the fact that he's the worst player on the team and therefore even those good moments cannot be appreciated or commented positively upon (even if the person appreciating those moments states that he knows, on the whole, Theriot isn't good-that's still not good enough. He must be hated at all times.). 4. If you dare attempt to state anything positive about said scapegoat, you are a racist and a Hawk Harrelson wannabe. 5. Therefore, it is okay to attack personally anyone who has even a modicum of sympathy for his position or his efforts. 6. Oh, and by the way, Brian Roberts is God NOTE: This description does NOT apply to everyone. Just the people who felt the need to personally attack the person who dared to have a contradictory opinion. Fixed.
  21. Theriot = CPatt = Dusty = LaTroy = Neifi = Macias = Bartman = Bruce Froemming = Pierre = Jock = Designated Cubs Scapegoat Someone should start a thread about lazy, homer-watching, pop-up avoiding, first-base dogging, Mr Aramis Ramirez, but I won't hold my breath...
  22. I was at a game at Wrigley, couple of years back. Rainy Saturday afternoon in June, Brewers won, I think 16-5. After the 5th (or was it 6th?)HR that was hit by the Brewers, the guy in the row in front of me got up to leave and grabbed his family, announcing that I had ruined his afternoon. I simply mentioned that it had been Glendon Rusch that had ruined his afternoon, I was simply cheering that fact. Didn't seem to placate him for some reason...
  23. I'm not sure about that. Definitely in the top 16 though...
  24. Hill's on Jeopardy? "I'll take AAA ballparks for $400, please Alex"...
  25. and Kendall I see this posted time and again here, obviously based on the events of 2007. I'd be willing to wager, however, that his numbers will be nearer to .300 than .250. Kendall's not gonna be the Jonah that many Cubs fans think for the Brewers IMO...
