fitting way to the 100th year of futility... a cubbishly-painful loss

Can we agree to ban all of this 100 year blabber on this board at least....I don't think any of us is approaching 100, so it's pointless to mention it every stinking time the Cubs are mentioned.

Theriot is the worst player on our roster, yet he starts and leads off.

Meanwhile, Murton is stuck in AAA. There's just no room for decent hitters.

well, if murt was a SS, im sure he'd be there over riot

no really, thanks again

oh yeah, special shout out to lou for the uncompromising wisdom encompassing the outstanding decision to bat theriot lead-off

outstanding!!!

Not to exempt Theriot, but it isn't as if he failed to get on base and then Sori/Lee/Ramirez ripped a double or went yard following. Spread the blame.

I wouldn't be so mad at him if he had gotten 4 plate appearances, but he got more than anyone on the team, tied with Soriano. It's such a waste.

Look at this way, KFuk is on pace for something like a '1.000 BA (~648 ABs), ~162 HRs, ~486 hits, ~486 RBIs, ~162 BBs, and ~162 Runs scored' season.

Lee and Ramirez are good players.

It didn't even feel like Soriano was playing today.

Didn't look like anybody was playing except for Fuku and Zambrano.

Lee, Ramirez were involved. So was Marmol.
