A video of Pedro Martinez and Hall of Famer Juan Marichal at a cockfight was posted this week on YouTube.

The two took part as honorary "soltadores," the word used to describe the person who puts the animal to fight. Cockfighting is legal in the Dominican Republic, where the incident took place, so Pedro doesn't have to worry about joining Michael Vick in prison. Still, the Mets can't be happy about the publicity this is going to bring.

Here in Puerto Rico we have stadiums and stuff too. There's a Monday night TV show, or there used to be, where they played the cockfight of the week, with play by play and everything. There;s even a government official who holds the title Commissioner of Cockfight Affairs.
