A little longer than Nebraska hung with Kansas. This OU that is going to murder Kansas - is that the team leading baylor 28-14 at home at the half?

WOOOOOO ILLINOIS!!!!!!! What a GREAT game!

If they beat Northwestern next week, that's a 9-3 season! What a turnaround for Zook! And it can only help his recruiting nationally. I was looking forward to this season, but this I couldn't have imagined a season or game like this!

Big boost to Mizzou's Hopes!! Knocks out OSU and helps their SOS. Big win for Illinois, should help recruiting!!

ku-osu tied 7-7. i'm watching it on gamecast, but it looks like we need to figure out how to stop D Savage.

He really is a hell of a back.

When get healthy, he totally changed OSU.

Your team is really, really bad Raisin.

Cements Dorrell's fate. :D

But seriously, the only guys you can find to lateral the ball are the offensive lineman? It's great seeing 300-lb Micah Kia rumbling witht he ball...and then throwing it forward.

best play in football, fatty running with the football. pretty awesome when he has no idea what to do with it, too.

As an Illinois native, I must say it's very cool to have Illinois be a factor again in college football. What they did today is sending massive shockwaves through the BCS. It's been a long time since the Illini were more than an easy win for every team on their schedule.

Actually, I don't see how the SEC is stronger than the Pac-10 at all. This year it's LSU, then 2nd tier teams like Florida and Georgia. There are a ton of bottom-tier teams in that conference this year, from Mississippi State to Vandy to Ole Miss -- all are complete bunk.

Wow...TT, are you joking or drunk? The SEC has 11 bowl eligible teams this year...11. I think we'd played this game last year, and your SEC hatred is again clouding your judgment a bit, IMO.

The SEC's weak teams consist of Ole Miss and Ole Miss alone this year.

You mean it will help him recruit once he takes the Nebraska job or it will help him recruit Benn and Williams to transfer?

Vandy isn't bowl eligible yet with only 5 wins. The SEC has 10 bowl eligible teams, tied for the most with the Big 10 right now (not that the # of bowl eligible teams means that much for a conference's strength).

maybe I'm drunk. no, it was just an oversight on my behalf, and I agree with your post. That said, I don't believe the Pac 10 nor Big 10 are as strong from top to bottom as the SEC this year. We should be able to a little more clearly evaluate during bowl season.

And the Big 10 has 10 bowl eligible teams so what's your point? Just because a conference has a ton of bowl eligible teams doesn't mean a thing. All it tells you is that the conference didn't lose many, if any, out of conference games but it doesn't tell you anything about the quality of those games.

EDIT: Just noticed CCP's post saying the exact same thing and your post, Fiver, after that.

It does mean the conference is going to make a lot of money.

I also can't imagine that Nebraska would hire him.
