Hey Big Ben with his 4 points and 3 rebounds..there is a leader for ya!

I have seriously had it....bench/trade/release all the vets on this team and let the kids Noah and Thomas play..tank this season and get yourself a shot @ Rose/Gordon/Mayo.

There is no point to trotting Wallace out there every night...WTF!

Mayo won't go until 7-10 anyway, so you'll still have a shot at him.

Let me think up some comps real quick

Beasley - Chris Webber

Rose - Gilbert Arenas without the gunner mentality

Gordon - Mitch Richmond

Mayo - Larry Hughes

really? I always assumed Mayo was a top 5 pick? I don't follow College BB that much, why are people down on him

Careless with the ball, doesn't defend and his mid-range game is worse than people thought it would be. The problem is that he's not like a Lebron James, where his size covers up a lot of his faults. The more I think about it, the more I like Gilbert Arenas as a comp for him, but he's not near the shooter that Gilbert is, at least not right now.

You're not going to want to watch Mayo either.

Unless something crazy happens, he's just going to be a volume chucker that doesn't defend, can't pass enough for a point guard and can't shoot well enough to be a 2.

That was apparent in both high school and AAU ball. I'll never understand the hype Mayo received. He's talented, yes, but there are other factors than simply physical talent. It's especially a shame he was so hyped in a class that featured Beasley, Rose, Gordon, Love, etc. I said before the season for college I'd probably even take Bayless or Harden over him.

What about Rose?

He gets compared to Kidd some, but that's mainly because he's 6'3 and doesn't have a reliable jumper. Athletically, all the tools are there and he plays much more under control than Mayo does, Plus, he can defend and he'll stick at PG. Think of him as a smaller D-Wade.

LOL..tonight vs Detroit Ben Wallace is grabbing boards left and right....dunking over guys in the lane and hitting outside jumpers...further evidence this guy only plays

when he wants to now. Awesome.

The whole team is playing with a different mentality tonight.

if the Bulls could just play Detroit every game they'd be the #1 seed

LOL at the Bulls and Wolves tonight after they scored a combined 22 points in the first quarter. And an extra LOL at the Bulls for not only losing to the Wolves but only scoring 67 points in the game.

Deng and Gordon are going to break the bank this summer. This is outstanding leverage for both of them.

As for the rest of this season, I hope they continue to sit out games while we struggle to score 70 points a game for the rest of the season.

I'm tired of the Jason Kidd to the Lakers rumors and can't believe how many people seem to think it's a good idea and that the Lakers actually need them. Problem is, the PG situation is a hell of a lot better this year with Derek Fisher starting instead of Smush Parker and Jordan Farmar being much improved.

Not to mention that Kidd isn't really even an upgrade over Fisher. I know that Kidd provides more assists and rebounds but he turns the ball over more so his assist-to-turnover ratio isn't much better. Fisher not only scores a little more, but he's a much better shooter (47.4 FG% to 36.6% and 42.9 3PT% to 34.3%). The PER for both players is virtually identical as well: 16.06 for Kidd and 15.97 for Fisher.

Plus the Lakers would likely have to give up Farmar in any deal - there's no way they trade Fisher because he specifically signed with the Lakers to take care of his daughter - which would be a horrible idea as well. Farmar is basically splitting time with Fisher (he's getting 21.1 mpg while Fisher is getting 26.9) and his PER is 17.08.

Please Jason Kidd, stay far away from Los Angeles unless you're coming as a member of the Clippers or a visiting player.

So who else is excited for Pau Gasol's debut in a Laker uniform against the Nets today?

Every male besides me in my office. And half the females too.

24 points, 12 boards with most of that coming in the second because he was in foul trouble in the first half.

I love Pau Gasol.

Me too.

So, Fisher 28, Gasol 24, Radmanovic 16, Odom 14...Kobe 6. I'd wager we won't see that again.

That is such a brain-breaking proposal. I mean, I understand what they're trying to do. Since Marion isn't going to resign, and since they're severely undermanned to handle the bigs of the Lakers now, it's a response to that. But Shaq now is just...eh. That deal is so much better for the Heat.
