Arizona lost to Virginia 75-72. They might not have Lute but the Wildcats are as inconsistent as ever.

USC recovered from their blowout loss vs. Mercer to beat the Citadel and South Carolina on the road...and Daniel Hackett (the dude OJ2 punched) is back and looked good tonight.

Michael Beasley with another 20/20 game last night.

 

In 3 games (sample size I know), but he is averaging 30 and 20. That's nuts.

Five preseason games and 1 regular season game, before IU looked in midseason form. I know it was against Longwood, but an easy 100-49 win. Not too many complaints from me. 6 players in double figures, 9 players played over 14 minutes. EJ with 21 points. Crawford with 16. DJ with 12 points on only 5 shot attempts. IU outrebounded a pretty lengthy Longwood team by 13. And held them to just 19 second half points. And less than 26% from the field. 47 points in the paint, with their post players only getting 12 of those. Guards were able to get to the rim with ease.

 

Eric Gordon keeps setting records. 54 points in his 1st 2 games is a school record. Only bad news, is he has to score 37 next game to continue that record.

Indiana Enrollment 38,247 Longwoods enrollment 4500. My guess is you could find 5 guys at IU walking the halls that could have beaten Longwood. Good to hear IU is in mid season form though.

Yeah. I'm glad they won easily, but beating Longwood doesn't do much for me. They should play Xavier next Saturday and then they play Georgia Tech the following Tuesday. While neither team is great, we should have a better idea of where IU is at after those two. So far, including exhibitions, three of the four teams they've played are complete crap.
