Could be a mismatch. Don't be surprised if MSU makes it a game. They, after all, knocked off one hell of an Auburn team (like that UF-Auburn mismatch game...).

I've got Auburn 6, LSU 9. Florida 42, Kentucky 35 (the scoring will probably even be higher than this). Tenn 17, Alabama 14. SC 31, Vandy 7. Arkansas 28, Ole Miss 17 in the SEC.

TT over Mizzou

Rutgers over USF

Colorado over Kansas

Mich over Illinois (BIG)

KSU over OSU

UCLA may give cal a run for their money

Based on what?

And as long as teams keep trying to shut down Rice and making Rutgers QB beat them, opposing teams are going to have success against Rutgers.

Based on Michigan playing like a top ten team the last five weeks.

Tennessee is going to have to run the table in order to win the East. SC or UK will knock them off, I think.

It looks as if one of these teams could beat the other two, then they are in {UK, SC, UF}. UK's out. If UF beats UK, the east will probably come down to Spurrier vs the Gators.

Every team in the East has to win out to win the East. It's schedules that I think gives UT the advantage. The Vols have two tough games coming up and then three easier games (ULL, Arkansas, Vandy) followed by a tough UK team. While not an easy stretch, it's easier than any other East team.

That said, any one of these teams (outside of Vandy) winning the East wouldn't surprise me.

That spread offense of Illinois' will be an issue for Michigan. When they've played spread offenses (Appy State and Oregon) they've looked terrible.

The Vols are inferior to UK, SC and UF. You're assuming that they're equal. They aren't.

I haven't seen evidence that UK and SC are better - in fact I feel fairly confident we're at least as good.

As for Florida, yes they demolished us, but we don't have to play them anymore. There's no reason we can't beat the teams that are remaining.

How exactly do you figure Tennessee is inferior to UK and SC?

plus michigan didn't exactly look like a premier team when they struggled with northwestern and eastern michigan

They've got terrific talent, but they're horribly inconsistent. I have trouble expecting them to play well and they'll have to against Illinois.

Against terrible teams, color me unimpressed.

lol @ the team that couldn't defend Appy State's spread stoping Illinois.

No offense to Illinois' offense, but they couldn't get it in the end zone once against Iowa and Michigan's defense completely dominated a pretty impressive Purdue offense. It's not impossible.

I guess that makes sense. Michigan struggled against Eastern Michigan's spread offense. Eastern. Michigan.

Yeah, I'll admit that they played their most complete game against Purdue. But to say that they are going to blow out Illinois is completely false.

Illinois is a young team - they'll have their great games and awful games. If the Illini come out with a bad game against Michigan, they'll have all kinds of trouble winning.

If they play well, though, I'm not sure Michigan has the personnel to stop a good spread offense like the Illini have.

Hmm, I disagree except for KSU over OSU. Otherwise I'd flip all of those picks. Probably the heart talking more than anything with the KU game though. I'm very concerned.

I think the major improvement that Michigan has made is offensively. Against Oregon they couldnt stay on the field. Now that Henne is healthy and playing better they have really started to become the offensive team that everyone thought they were going to be. I think the real question is can Illinois stop Michigans offense?

Somehow I think its going to be a great game. Illinois is better than they played last week, Sat night game at home, Big Sellout(Even though in the past Michigan has had up to 20,000 fans there). I think this one is going to be pretty good.

Yeah, Mizzou's trip to Boulder terrifies me. I'm thinking that winning there is going to require some good luck like we had at Tech last year(thx for the back to back pick 6's, mr harrell).

Michigan has trouble with spread offense that can balance the pass and the run. Illini is a one dimensional spread offense that can have a couple big plays with the pass but cant make the nickle and dime pass plays consistantly. UM defense is a very inconsistant because they have a knack for giving up big plays. If Illini doesnt make big plays i have a hard time believing they will march up and down the field on them and put up enough points to offset UM's offense. UM's weakness is in their secondary; Oregon and App St. blew holes in those guys, i dont think Illini has the same type QB to do the same.

Who knows the UM defense against Purdue's spread could be mirage, i sure dont know what to think of them yet.

Offensively UM can do whatever they want, its up to the vanilla coaches on how that shakes out.

It sounds like there's a pretty good chance we'll get Sutton back for tomorrow night's game in at least some capacity, meaning he could be in there for the majority of snaps come next weekend at Purdue.

That would be huge. I'm not sure how much they'll scale down the passing game, but even if they don't run as much as last year, Sutton is a great talent out of the backfield as a receiver. The bubble screens should be even more successful with him back there. He's also a great blocker, although Conteh has certainly impressed in all aspects.

I am out of town this week. I was watching Mike and Mike on ESPN 2 this morning. Did they say that Gameday was going to be in Champaign this week?

Gameday will be at the UF/UK game of course. Why would they go watch the little ten anyways?
