BTW Congrats on the playoffs

Maybe we will meet in 3 weeks :D

Anyhow some Chicago sports announcer ( Chet Copick?) was just on WEEI Boston giving an overview of your series and he just added that the Cubs are inviting Steve Bartman to sing Take Me Out To The Ballgame on Saturday.

Maybe you Cub fans are a forgiving lot. If the same thing happened at Fenway somebody would shoot him.

Is this a good idea?

He will get booed mercilessly. Bad idea.

Only a moron would boo him. They didn't boo Gonzalez mercilessly the next season.

Sick and tired of this Bartman crap. Can't believe someone in the Cubs organization is thinking about this.

This should be put to rest immediately. Maybe, just maybe, if we win the World Series.

Everybody's thoughts should be about baseball and only playoff baseball.

Because ESPN didn't replay that to the level of Bartman. The only worse choice for the 7th inning stretch would be Bernie Mac. Just let Ronnie do it... or Bill Murray if they insist on it being someone "famous."

It's a risky idea, if it's true. It's the right gesture, but so much could go wrong if the team happens to lose.

Come on, no way are the Red Sox fans superstitious!

I'm confused at the reference to Red Sox fans...

leave the poor guy alone.

I agree, however it would be a really nice gesture for the way he had his head hunted for so long.

Anyway, Gonny is right. If this is true, and the cubs end up losing on saturday...You know what the scapegoat is going to be.

Won't believe this till I see it

Plus, when the Cubs blow a lead in the 8th, it will be his fault again

this will just bring back talks of the curse

Spot on.

Jesus, cannot believe a professional sports team takes part of these gimmicks. Besides, it's got more room to go wrong than otherwise.

I agree. I wonder if he still listens to the Cubs? I hope so.

Didn't ESPN do a thing on him a few years ago where one of their reporters was able to talk to him after following him around for a couple of weeks? If I recall coreectly he talked about them beating the Red Sox 2 of 3 in 04 with them.

If the Cubs manage to win the WS, then you invite him to sing on Opening Day.

Not during the freaking playoffs.
