Scrubs?

Since that looks awful, that's Neil Flynn of Scrubs fame in Rookie of the Year.

I wouldn't be surprised if players like Lee and DeRosa are in tomorrow for at least an AB or 2. They don't want to risk injury of course, but it couldn't hurt to get them a couple ABs so that they don't have 4 days off. We'll see though.

Who's getting the start? I could use a couple Ks to win my fantasy league

Ted Lilly.

I never got that part of the movie. Why the hell does the Mets player just stand there. Try to dive or get back to the bag you moron. Don't look at the camera resigned to your fate. I guess it helped the fake Cubs, but still.

I'll be watching the Bears game and checking into this one between commercial breaks... This thread will have even fewer posts than yesterday's.

So how bout Cubs get 1 more win top top off the regular season?

I agree, I think most of the starters, with the exception of Soriano and Ramirez, should at least play part of the game tomorrow. Otherwise, I have a bad feeling we will go into Wednesday's game and the offense will get completely shut down after having 4 days off. Then again, that could very well happen regardless.

Yeah I think len 'n bob mentioned the "big guys" will get some at-bats. So I think this will be like an end of spring training game where the main guys play for 2 at-bats, and the scrubs get leftovers. :P

sorry to clutter the game thread...but this is a very important favor to ask (I also posted it in the fantasy forum, but I doubt anyone's gonna look at it)

So I've got $800 on the line tomorrow. I'm currently up 5-4 in my h2h league, but am trailing in ERA which is the tiebreaker. We are both tied in SB, Wins, and Ks, and I am down .01 in WHIP. I have one pick up left so I need someone who can get me some Ks and hopefully a win. Here are my options:

Bailey vs the Cubs

Contreras vs. Detroit

Murray vs. Seattle

Paulino vs. Atlanta

Carlyle vs. Houston

Bullington vs. St. Louis

Laffey vs. KC

Hochevar vs. Cleveland

Bergman vs. Philly

Davis vs. Colorado

Jimenez vs. Arizona

Please help me...this is huge

And Baseball reference's Bat vs. Pitch section screwed up. Hopefully it'll be back by the playoffs... For now, here's the match-ups from ESPN:

Chicago Cubs Vs. Homer Bailey

Cincinnati Reds Vs. Ted Lilly

Again, if anybody cares, bullpen match-ups.

IT'S A MOVIE

With yesterday's win, the Cubs actually succeeded in playing at least .500 ball against everyone in the division this year.

11-5 against St. Louis

9-6 against Milwaukee

8-7 against Houston

8-7 against Pittsburgh

8-7 against Cincinnati

How the hell are we the division champions?

The CUBS are division champs because they won more games than anyone else in the division.

No d00d.. they backed into a playoff spot. 8.5 GB in late June and somehow 3.0 game lead at the very end. Just a 12.5 game difference. Big whoop.

No, they bought the division title. They spent $300 million this year!

Absolutely. You nailed it. All these other teams in our division, they were playing for love of the game and a ice cold soda pop after every game. The Brewers don't even pay their players. 8-)
