Lilly will make his final regular season start on Sunday against the Reds, but wasn't expected to throw more than 40 pitches.

Soriano 2 run single in the second scored Jones and Kendall.

 

Lee doubled and then Jones doubled scoring Lee in the 3rd inning.

Here's hoping Marquis is not on the playoff roster, the Cubs wouldn't be here without his contributions but, he's clearly done for the season.

I'm definitely concerned, but I also know it's his side session. This isn't like he was preparing for a start or a possible relief session, this was practice for him.

 

The Cubs should definitely try to go 3 starters whenever possible in the playoffs though. I don't think they'll be able to do that in the division series, but if they make the NLCS I hope they will just pitch Z, Lilly, and Hill.
