ok, ok, i appreciate the whole "relax" mentality, i really do...

but, are you seriously going to be able to "relax" if they lose today and the brewers win tonight because that means that the cubs only have a 1 game lead with 3 left to play...plus they are playing like dog drip right now

I would obviously not be as comfortable as I am now, but I wouldn't be even close to thinking it's over or that the Cubs were gonna blow it.

The Reds we'e facing are without Dunn and Griffey, and Harang might even miss his start. The Brewers are facing a Padres team (admittedly also battling some injuries) fighting for their playoff lives. If the Cubs couldn't manage to, at least, win the same amount of games as Milwaukee in that scenario, they wouldn't deserve it anyway.

Logically, that makes a lot of sense.

Of course, logic would also tell you the Cubs wouldn't get swept by the worst team in the National League with the division on the line.

The way I look at it is that, after this game, the Crew is going to be only one and a half games back. When we lose two of three to Cincinnati, the Brewers can win the division outright simply by taking 3 of 4 and they can force a playin game by spliting, which they almost certainly will do.

I don't see the happiness from not facing Griffey or Dunn, you don't have to be an all star caliber player to crush our dreams.

isn't olsen a wife-beater?

No. Just a drunk who doesn't really get along with his teammates.

nevermind, i have to ask my friend who he was talking about again...i could have sworn it was olsen...but oh well

i've got a blister on my cap tipping finger.

I've developed cap-tipping elbow? May need a few simulated cap-tipping sessions, likely starting with a towel?

OK, I know, that sucked but it had been a while since there was any mention of towel drills around here...
