Hey Cardinals, how about a win for a change??

Go Cardinals, I won't reference Cardinals and illicit drugs for the rest of '07 if you win.

I pledge to hate them less.

I pledge to not make a Jim Edmonds joke. For a while.

Got to move on, Jim Edmonds career is nearly over. Have to find a new Cardinals target.

I guess we should just prep to make Colby Rasmus jokes.

I think the best way to make fun of the Cardinals is to remind them they traded Dan Haren + more for Mulder. That should hurt for quite a few years

Does everyone else realize that at this time tomorrow we could be up only one game? The Brewers will certainly win...and we have Marquis on the mound.

One game.

But yeah, let's post pictures of our Division title merch.

Villenueva has been pitching his butt off this month. I have a feeling he comes back down to earth tonight. The Cubs of last year fielded worse lineups than the Cardinals and won

All I know is I'm banking on the Pads to at least split with the Brewers. If they split we could take 1/3 of both series and still clinch.

We've got to think in terms of winning 2/3 from the Reds at least.

I wouldn't bank on that. Padres have no offense and Peavy is pitching tonight. Young hasn't been the young in the 1st half and who else do they have. Maddux? Brewers could take 3/4 or even sweep. It's entirely possible.

I think the Cubs need to take 3 out of their last 5. Then you only count on the Padres to take 1, and even if they don't you're still in a 1 game playoff.

Right. Put it this way if they Cubs can't manage 3 wins against the Marlins and the Reds they might as well hand it over to the Brewers...

Yahoo says Brad Thompson is starting, and I thought I heard on the radio here this morning that it's going to be one of TLR's dreaded "bullpen starts."

Which, I guess might be better than the other dreck he could throw out there to start. Expect to see Kip Wells for at least a few innings though.

God help us.

No way Brewers lose this game.

I bet when you woke up on that fateful morning in 1912 you thought there was no way the Titanic would sink...There's a chance.
