Suppan is 2-0 going 15 1/3 allowing just 3 runs in 2007. Looper is 1-1 with a 5.73 ERA vs. the Brewers this year.

Hopefully Looper thinks he's pitching against the Cubs and comes up with a gem.

The Cubs should demand that the scoreboard be turned off. We shouldn't be thinking about what the Brewers are doing, at all.

I mean we as fans are going to look of course. But the Cubs themselves should simply win their own games and not think about the Crew.

Not sure if that's the Cubs' call.

Have you seen the recent crowds at Florida? There might not be enough people on site to run the scoreboard.

I don't know-the Cubs are on a roll since they started looking at the scoreboard more extensively. I say let them keep doing it! I mean, DeRosa in the Reds comeback game specifically mentioned the scoreboard as a big reason why the comeback happened just to cite one example. I don't quite believe him on that, but it appears from this Cubs team that it doesn't hurt them to do it.

Yeah, I'm not too worried about the Cubs watching the scoreboard.

So if the Phils win the WC and Arizona stays #1 we'd open against the Mets, right? Assuming we don't choke.

I think I'd take my chances against the Mets rather than Arizona, who always plays us tough.

Boy the D-Backs are a statistical oddity. They will be thrown up by all number hating fans for years and years.

I think I'd rather have a healthy Ankiel than a 70% declining Edmonds. Though Ankiel has looked kinda bad lately.

Just so no one is suprised and shocked, the Brewers will win tonight. And tomorrow night.

Pujols is playing, I'm happy

Until he gets 100 RBI's....then let's see if he plays or not.

Posted
I certainly wouldn't blame Pujols for sitting the rest of the season. He has nothing to play for and is risking further injury. It's kinda dumb that he is playing.

If I were a Cardinals fan (eww), I'd be mad that he's still playing and risking further injury.
