LaRussa is gonna beat the crap out of Gary Bennett when he gets back to the dugout.

Only because Selig told LaRussa that for every run the Cards score this series a dog or cat will be eaten by Jerry Reinsdorf.

LOL, I love it

How in the world has Bush given up 6 hits in 4 innings, and only thrown 51 pitches?

Saint. Louis. Cardinals.

At least Bennett has given me a reason to turn this game back on. Come on, Wainwright.

A healthy, Pujols, Rolen, Edmonds, Duncan, and Molina were in the lineup then.

Duncan wasn't on the team in 2004.

It wouldn't matter if it was Memphis. It's three baseball games.

He was talking about the Cards sweeping the Brew in August.

I'm making an unfunny joke about those dudes being healthy. I know what he's talking about. Well, not in general, but I know what series he meant there.

swinging at a 3-0 count? That's a paddlin.

Hitting a 2-run homer? That's a paddlin.

Beating a contending team when you have nothing to play for? oooh, you better believe that's a paddlin.

Well, "Chuck" wasn't bad, I'll probably give it another shot next week.

98, do you agree that the Cards are a bad team? What would it take from them to convince you that they are in fact trying?

They are a horrible team but they've battled intra divisional teams. I'm suspicious. Again, this same bad team swept the Brewers the last time they faced them.

wrong!

this is nothing close to that 'bad team'. get a grip...

LOL, you get a grip buddy.

The Cards are a very good team whose entire roster is injured, leaving tham with bunch of mediocre players.

I get jokes.

I think Pujols is maybe 50% right now, asking for a HR from him is a lot.

Then again, a 50% Pujols is still pretty damn good.

yeah but take the square root since the cards are tanking... it's more like around 7%

In the shape Pujols is in, a homer is more likely than a base hit. He'll probably be going all or nothing.

E-5, lollipop throw by Ryan airmails Pujols.

Doubt TLR's gonna be too happy with that - he got on Ryan publicly a couple weeks ago.
