Could the effort experts explain those last 3 Ks? Probably just Wainwright turning the switch back on, 4 runs was enough to stop the Cardinals offense from winning, so he can throw a perfect game now. Or something.

 

God help us if the Cards come back and win, I guess that'll be the Brew just being that pathetic losing to the Cards who are actively trying to lose because they HATE THE CUBS

Maybe he wanted to give them a cushion. I wouldn't rule it out like your proclamation of "zero" chance TLR is throwing the game. It is possible that he talked to them about not overexerting themselves...
