Yes, let's blame Hill for this inning. It's so much fun to bash him!!!!!

Who's bashing him?

But while we're on the subject, this mess is his fault. Is it not?

Dink hits, an injury, and terrible umpiring? Yep, must be his fault.

I only blame him for giving up the hit to arroyo.

Not even close to a clutch outing by Rich.

yeah damn you rich for giving up dink hits and getting boned over by the umps

If Marquis did this everyone would be ripping on him.

I hate to say it, but this would have been a good game for Lou to get thrown out of, just to try to change the calling on the field, it's obviously against the Cubs right now.

when marquis sucks, 90% of the time it's because he's getting absolutely hammered

Keppinger's single wasn't a dink...

the umps did highly contribute though and will probably end up costing us the game.

Wuertz sucks

Terrible umpiring on the last one, yeah. Chalk one of those runs up to that sure. But if Rich didn't allow 18 hits this inning, it wouldn't have even been an issue.

Bruno bashes Hill when he throws 7 scoreless, don't mind him.

I do?

Prove it.

Thats a joke. I was very impressed with his outing in Houston

I'm a big Rich Hill fan, but this fanclub "it's never his fault" mentality is annoying. Why shouldn't we blame Rich for that?

It's not all Hill's fault. Dont mind Theriot's lack of range, but if Soriano hits the cut off man, the runner stays at 2nd. Then even after getting screwed on the call of Dunn's double play, the runner would not have scored. Hill really wasn't pitching that bad. A lot of ground balls found holes. His lack of defense and ability to bunt are quite annoying and unnexcusable, but his pitching wasn't as bad as some are making it sound.

Remind me again what Marquis is being paid versus what Hill is being paid.

So it's okay to suck as long as you're not making a lot of money?

I hate when people bring this up.

I think they are both being paid US Dollars.

Hill gets paid in poofy, hair gel.

Who cares?

I'm not paying it.

Its about performance. I don't "hate" Hill, but you can't fall behind on the pitcher to start the inning and give up a hit and expect to have an easy inning with the top of the order coming up.

this all started with going 3-2 to a pitcher batting .111, then grooving and 89 mph fastball that was whacked into left. I then turned to the football game and saw him unable to put yet another pitcher away after getting to two strikes and giving up another solid single. as for the ump, I'm as big of a bitch about the umps as anyone, and I would have loved to have had that call, but it wasn't an outright boning.

All right, relax. We're only down by one, with five innings to score, and the middle of the order coming up. Plus, we've hit Arroyo pretty hard so far.

I just feel like I was the only one that noticed he completely changed after he injured himself.

It's not his job to pull himself after he gets injured. Anyone with an ounce of competitiveness would stay out there.

I'm hoping he is 100% for this weekend.

Welcome to a 1st place tie

Not really... At this point of the season I look more toward the loss column, and we would be 1 game back... and with Milwaukee's opponents I don't see them losing many more games until possibly the San Diego series.

Yeah, you're right, we're screwed. :(
