Does that become Wrigley South....there is absolutely nobody there for the STL series right now. If the series matters do you think there will be more Chicago Fans than Reds fans?

There may be more Reds fans interested in seeing the team beat the Cubs than they are in seeing them beat the Cards. Also, since those will be the last games of the season and on a weekend, today probably won't be the best indicator of turnout.

Still, assuming the Cubs are still within a game of the lead, yea I think it'll be all blue in the seats that weekend.

I think Cincy already is Wrigley South when the Cubs are in town. Living in Indy and my wife calling herself a Reds fan we try to make it over for a few Cubs games every year. Reds fans may have us by numbers SOMETIMES, but they will never be louder than the Cubs fans.

I bought tix for the Saturday night game hoping we might clinch that night. But by all means Cubbies, if you want to clinch before then, PLEASE DO!!!

Cub fans will scrape up every ticket they can...and the scalpers will have a field day...Cubs fans seem to outnumber Reds fans down there in the games I've been to over the years...this year will be no exception.

I already have plans to visit my brother there that weekend...and I'll be at the Sat/Sun games.

Of course my son's due date is during the stretch run/playoffs of a year that the Cubs are contending. I'd so be in StL this weekend and Cincy that last weekend.

I'm so not letting him live it down.

I realized that I will be out of the country during that entire last week - Sept. 24-Oct. 3, and in a remote place without real good internet connection. I may not find out how they did until after the first game of the division series...

I just can't believe it. If they would just win about 10 in a row and finish it early, it would be wonderful for me...

Schedule a C section for the Cubs off day.

I am seriously considering heading over there that weekend.

Looked at ticket availability a few weeks ago, and there wasn't much good left. That makes me think we will have the place overrun. :)

On a similar note, I'm hoping for a solid turnout here this weekend.

I'd prefer us to clinch before that series and just rest our guys before the playoffs start.
Right now, Z is projected to start the last game of the season. As long as the Cubs have their spot locked up by then, Trachsel can start the meaningless final game, and that's all the rest they would need. I don't want the starters to get any more rest than that.

No doubt about it. I was there for the July 27-29 series and there were more Cubs fans than Reds fans then.

I listened to a bit of the Cards-Reds radio broadcast yesterday, and Thom Brennamen was already complaining about how many Cubs fans will be at that series and urging Reds fans to buy their tickets now!

So who's his favorite team, the Yankees? Favorite little Rascal, Spanky?

I'll be there Friday night. It's college night and even though I'm old, I still go to college, so half price tickets.

I wanted something behind the Cub dugout, but those are sold out. There are tons of good tickets elsewhere though, and I chose left field, pretty close to the front.
