So, this week's poll should have 7 SEC teams ranked, and Auburn and Tennessee won't be among them.

Kentucky's win over Louisville further cements the fact that the SEC is the best conference this year.

c'mon guys. noone doubts that the SEC is the best conference, but you're really putting perfume on a big turd of a day.

Arkansas loses to a fairly ordinary Alabama squad

Tennessee gets crushed by Florida

Auburn loses to Mississippi state

the only two teams from 16-25 that lost are SEC teams. if the pollsters find a way to vault both Alabama and Kentucky into the top 25, over several other teams that also won today, and without dropping either of the two SEC teams out, thus resulting in seven SEC teams in the top 25, it would be an absolute joke.

No way in hell a 3-0 SEC team with a win over a top 10 team won't be in the top 25. Hell, South Carolina jumped up to SEVENTEEN by beating Georgia.

LSU, Florida, Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, South Carolina, and Georgia should all be ranked.

As for #1, I think LSU, USC, Oklahoma, and Florida are alarmingly close right now, and nobody else is in the same zip code. West Virginia is probably next.

SIU rolled over Southern Utah, 44-10. 3-0 start once again for SIU.

Went to the NIU game today and it was pretty depressing to see them lose to Eastern Michigan. It's amazing how fast the program has deteriorated. And the sad thing was, it was pretty predictable that they were going to blow the game. A blocked FG as time expired sealed the deal. At least Demitrius Jones should instill life back into the program.

And yeah, Illinois is going to a bowl game this year. I said it before the season and I'm going to continue to say it. I know it was only against 'Cuse today, but that offense is stacked.

besides Tennessee, who do you bump to get both Alabama and Kentucky into the top 25? Clemson won their game fairly easily. BC is about to beat a higher ranked team. Hawaii will probably rack it up against UNLV. Oregon and A&M rolled. does GT get dropped down farther than Arkansas for some reason.

the sense of entitlement is sickening. like I said, if it happens it will be an absolute joke. South Carolina has no business in the top 25 in the first place.

Well, Tennessee's obviously out. Also, 14-16 all lost--2 in blowouts to other ranked teams, one in a dramatic game on a last minute play. They're probably about even in pollster's eyes, but Arkansas has the detriment of having not played as many games, so if anybody was to go out, I'd guess it'd be them. Also, I'd guess hype would put Alabama in over Kentucky if only one gets in.

Entitlement? Um, yeah, whatever. South Carolina got way too much credit for beating Georgia, sure. I wouldn't say they're any more overrated than Virginia Tech.

UK is 8-1 in their last 9, 2-0 vs. Top 25 teams, 1-0 vs. Top 10.

I can't think of 25 teams that deserve to be there ahead of UK.

1. Georgia wasn't ranked when Kentucky played them last year, nor was Clemson, so I'm not sure where your second Top 25 team comes from.

2. are you really going to use last year as a basis for this year? while close wins over MSU, Vandy, LA-monroe, and Clemson may bedazzle you, they are completely irrelevant. by that measure, Wisconsin Badgers should be #1 because they have the longest winning streak in the country.

yes, entitlement. there's a way that these things generally work, ie. teams don't get dropped down if they don't lose. yet to you it's unimaginable that the two teams that actually lost be the teams that drop out, to make room for another team in the conference to leap frog a bunch of teams that didn't lose.

Virginia Tech. good example there. even with the baggage that team is carrying, SC couldn't carry their jocks, regardless of the LSU blowout.

I though Clemson was ranked at the time of the Bowl game, my bad.

How they finished last year factors into the pre-season rankings, while it didn't merit a pre-season top 25 ranking, UK did deserve a ranking of a SEC team that won 8 games the previous season that ended the season well with much of the core still returning.

People want to belittle UK b/c it's basketball 1st, but had it been a diff. program more noted for FB, votes would've been different.

I'm hopefully looking forward to them in the top 25, they deserve it.

I'd like to see any other team ranked 16-25 in the poll go into Bama and do what the Hogs did tonight. It's VERY tough to almost overcome Houston Nutt's stupidity. Go Hogs.

Northwestern plays down to their competition in every game. They had their chances to win it. Real bad loss for the Cats.

Warp, it's going to be a heck of a game next week.

I think we take it if Monk is healthy and effective. Hard to get any semblance of a vertical passing game without him. Without him...like I said, i was more scared of UK than Alabama.

Do you realize the irony that all SEC losses came to other SEC schools?

The Big Ten is truly terrible. Loses to Duke, Florida Atlantic and Iowa State today. Ugh. Hopefully my Hoosiers (3-0 with a huge game next week against Illinois) can take advantage.

I'd like to personally thank the officials for the 60 minute screwjob we received. The few phantom calls on Duke in the 2nd half were nice and all, but they really went all out to make sure one of the least penalized teams in the country racked up 13 penalties for 125 yards.

What an absolute embarrassment. We were so horribly out-coached that I don't know where to start. How nice it would have been if we had taken those 5 FG attempts, including taking 3 points off the board to set up a 4th and 3.

how on earth does a team rack up 500+ yards with only two turnovers, and manage to score only 14 points? looks to me like if their coach punts the ball once out of the three times they lost it on downs, they likely win the game.
