DeRosa should automatically bunt whenever he's up with 2 men on from now on

Kendall does nothing

Actually that was a shot.

I'll repeat what I said on Thursday:

This team is done. They are not going to the playoffs.

The sooner you guys come to that realization, the happier you'll be.

I really don't get DeRosa... whenever the bases are clear, he'll shoot one down the line or split a gap but whenever there's guys on base, it's an automatic ground ball RIGHT AT someone. Literally every time!

ugh

definitely not the 3/4 starter we thought we were getting...

I think you should post that in the Transactions thread too, no sense in only posting it in two threads just to get a rise out of people.

Do you have Premium? Why don't you block abuck? You obviously don't like him.

Are you kidding me? Why don't you direct that towards him? You don't think his post that I responded to was directed at anyone in particular?

No need to answer, I already know the reason.

Actually, I didn't think it was directed at anyone and it looked like a rather tame comment. As such, your comment was out of line in response to an innocuous one.

And what reason is that?

In that case, you have no purpose being here

I could have told you that. The only way that they make the playoffs is if they randomly get hot like they did in June. But even then, it would only be a mirage as this team just isn't that good.

No team in the central is good though and any team no matter how good or bad they are can get hot over 20 games. The division is still up for grabs.

I agree and I think the Cubs chances of making the playoffs are extremely slim... but at the same time I still find myself wasting 3 hours a day watching them find ways to lose games. At least last year they were bad enough that I didn't feel inclined to watch every day, but this year I can't pull myself away from it. The joys of being a Cubs fan...

All because no matter what you say deep down you still have faith that they will pull it out. That sums up being a Cubs fan.

That team getting hot looks to be the Brewers

Only because Ned Yost is running your team.

If they do that's going to give them confidence to really be a dangerous team for years to come. They can flat out rake.

My pain will only be compounded today when the Bears lose in San Diego.
