I honestly really like our lineup. About as good as we can do all things considered. Go Cubs!

Uh oh, Plesac just said wind is howling straight out, and balls are going to be flying out. This is most likely going to be an offensive game, which doesnt favor us.
Actually I think this does favor the Cubs. The Brewers can already hit the ball out of the park, without wind. So the ball travels 430 instead of 410.

On the other hand, the wind can only help the mysterious power outage the Cubs have experienced, and push those warning track balls out.

I know...I know...OPB and OPS are really what matters...but looking at that line up...we've got one guy below .288...and no one under .270....shouldn't we statistically score some runs?

I didn't watch any of the Mil-SF series, but I was there for the whole Cubs series and was left highly unimpressed with SF, so their sweep of Milwaukee is encourgaing

Brewers played tough against the D-Backs and if Webb wasn't so darn good could have easily swept them, then they got swept by the Giants. You might as well just roll a die to determine which Brewers will show up. When they are on they can beat anyone even on the road (2 of 3 vs Detroit, 2 of 3 vs Twins, 2 of 3 vs DBacks etc) and when they are off they can get swept by the cardinals, reds and giants, heh.

Yup, looks great on paper. Let's just hope they can execute.

hill has had a couple good outings, let's hope he can get one more. But I'm scared of Braun and Fielder and what they might do to Hill.

Looks like the wind should be blowing out tonight. Not good news for our fly-ball pitcher. Hopefully Hill's curve is working great tonight.

It's not good for their awful pitcher either.

i'm very happy i bought a few months of mlb.tv.....i'd hate to miss out on the heartbreak

I just bought it last night. I hope it's the Cubs announcers tonight!

I could be wrong, but I don't ever recall mlb.tv broadcasting a visitor's broadcast if the home team is able to broadcast it. Therefore, you should get the CSN feed for the next two nights.

could be wrong though.

GO CUBS!

But playing the Cubs is.

Tonight starts what I consider to be the fast and furious finish. With the Cardinals charging, it's time to step up and close the door! The last month of the regular season in the middle of a serious championship run and college football about to kick off this week - it's almost too much for me to digest, but I'm going to give it a shot nonetheless!!!

You answered your question with that first concession.

Cub management seems to have an affinity for guys whose OBPs are very BA heavy... Add that to the fact that the team is collectively not hitting for much power (for whatever reason), and there's your explanation.

It certainly doesn't have much to do with luck. I'm pretty sure the Cubs have happened to hit for a pretty high average with RISP this year.

Here's to hoping the lineup will look like this on Tuesday night;

Soriano, LF

Theriot, SS

Lee, 1B

ARam, 3B

Floyd, RF

DeRosa, 2B

Jones, CF

Kendall, C

Hill, P

Lou owes me money for plagiarizing my lineup ideas.
