What is with this criticism of the negativity? How much do you want the Cubs to win? If watching this games Doesn't pain you to the core, I don't see how you can call yourself a true Cubs fan.

There are a lot of people here who have every right to be very, very pissed off.

Typical Cubs. Baffled by a pitcher with a 5+ ERA. Nice work, guys.

Game over. I'm going to go outside and mow my jungle of a lawn. Have a nice evening, all.

you are so overwhelmingly negative, it makes me not even want to follow game threads.

can anyone tell how to block?

There is an ignore feature, but if you are expecting positive posts when the club is blowing their best opportunities of the season in front of our eyes, you might find it's not just him that is negative.

They are in first place, even though they were 10.5 games back earlier this summer! Every team in the division would trade places with us.

And they're about to go either 4-2 or 3-3 on a west coast road trip, with one of the teams also in first place.

after a rough start, Marquis wasn't so bad. Hopefully Marmol keeps it at 5.

this is like the "marquis isn't so bad for a fifth starter argument."

he has a remarkable ability to pitch so poorly that people's expectations go down and anything better than complete disaster is fine.

he sucks.

against the Giants Marquis wasn't so bad after a rough start.

5 runs in 5 innings is just plain bad, doesn't matter when they came.

so what you expected him to give up 8 or 9 runs today.... what are looking for. he gave up 5 runs in the first 2 innings then went scoreless in 3 1/3, which means it could have been worse...

it's impossible to please me by allowing 5 runs in 5 1/3 innings, yes. i'm also not pleased with a $100 mil that hovers around .500. sorry.
